Overlord 3 is one of the most anticipated anime of the year. If you’re eager to watch more Overlord anime, then I have some news for you.
Madhouse is pulling an insane stunt here, and the 3rd Season is going be begin airing from July 2018. Since Madhouse handled the last season of the anime, it was also certain that they’d be the ones to work on Season 3 as well. This was confirmed recently, in the 13th volume of Kugane Maruyama’s Overlord novel series. Madhouse returning to animate the novels, and the third season is already under works, as expected.
According to the anime staff of the third season of Overlord, OxT and MYTH&ROID are returning to perform the opening and the ending songs of the series. OxT will perform the opening, called ‘Voracity’, while Myth&ROID’s untitled song will be the ending for the show. We will find out more details about Overlord’s third season soon.
We’ll also see lots of new cast additions in the third season of Overlord. Funimation will offer simuldub for the third season, as they do with most shows now. The second season of the show premiered in January and ended in April. Crunchyroll streamed the second season as it aired, and the English dub were done by Funimation.
“The final hour of the popular virtual reality game Yggdrasil has come. However, Momonga, a powerful wizard and master of the dark guild Ainz Ooal Gown, decides to spend his last few moments in the game as the servers begin to shut down.
To his surprise, despite the clock having struck midnight, Momonga is still fully conscious as his character and, moreover, the non-player characters appear to have developed personalities of their own! Confronted with this abnormal situation, Momonga commands his loyal servants to help him investigate and take control of this new world, with the hopes of figuring out what has caused this development and if there may be others in the same predicament.”
