The story is set in a fictional world, where, fifteen years earlier, human beings lost the ability to have children and to truly die. Those who have died continue to exist, regardless of injury and decay. According to legend, God abandoned his creations, but left them one final gift in the form of "gravekeepers," strange individuals with the ability to give rest to the living dead. Twelve-year-old Ai is one such gravekeeper. Her life changes forever when an immortal gunslinger named Hampnie Hambart massacres the residents of her small village. With no place to go, Ai is forced to rely on Hampnie, and she comes to learn the truth about him and her village.
Afterwards, she sets out on a journey, performing her duties as a gravekeeper and striving to learn more about why the world has fallen into such a state, and she declares her desire to save the world God has abandoned. While on her journey, she encounters new people: Hampnie's childhood friend Julie, the gravekeeper Scar, a mysterious boy named Alice, and a ghostly witch named Dee.
Plot/Summary :-
God has abandoned the world. As a result, life cannot end nor can new life be born, and the "dead" walk restlessly among the living. Granting one last miracle before turning away forever, "God" created "gravekeepers," mystical beings capable of putting the dead to rest through a proper burial. Ai, a cheerful but naïve young girl, serves as her village's gravekeeper in place of her late mother.
One day, a man known as Hampnie Hambart, who is supposedly Ai's father, arrives and kills all the people in her village. Having lost her village and with no plans for the future, Ai decides to accompany the mysterious man on his journey. As she travels the land, the young gravekeeper strives to fulfill her duties, granting peace to the dead and assisting the living, while at the same time learning more about the world that God left in this tragic state.
Quotes :-
“Even though it has this title, this show is pretty godly!”

Story :-
. There are many fantasy anime series that revolve around a God, or a "God-like" creature or existence. But this anime flips that idea upside down; giving a view of a fantastical world where God is gone. And ironically, even though God is gone, this anime is one Godly anime series!
"Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi" (translated as Sunday Without God) revolves around a fantasy world where God has abandoned Earth; people are unable to reproduce or die and the dead cannot die peacefully without being buried by The Gravekeepers. Ai, a Gravekeeper child, discovers after meeting a strange man who uses the name of her lost father, that everybody in her village is already dead. After, Ai goes on a journey to restore the world of peace, meeting new friends and running into all sorts of challenges along the way.
The anime contains 12 episodes and ran during the Summer 2013 Anime Season (July 2013 – September 2013, ending today to the time of this writing). The anime is based off a light novel series of the same name written by Irie Kimihito. The series is animated by Madhouse Studios, who have given us such acclaimed series as Gunslinger Girl, Paranoia Agent and Trigun.

Conclusion :-
Not to spoil anything, but the series ended on a rather large cliffhanger – although not so much that it left viewers unsatisfied – but there is a large chance that there will be a second season for this anime (that is, I hope there will be). Still, the anime is a very interesting take on people’s psychological and dark history’s taken into this fantasy world. It can easily be fitted into the psychological horror genre for some scenes, while other scenes put it into the light fantasy genre. All in all, the mix of genre’s and use of many characters and their backgrounds makes this anime very interesting to watch, and will even make you tear up at the end. I also heard the light novel series is good as well. This one is definitely a keeper for a sucker of unique and/or beautiful anime series.
Recommendation :-
Of course -, Its an Fantasy, Mystery anime.
My rcommendation is 8.5/10.
I strongly recommend it for Fantasy, Mystery lover.
