Introduction:-

Free! is set in the town of Iwatobi, which is based on the real town of Iwami, Tottori. Iwami has since used Free! to promote tourism to the town. The story starts with four boys—Haruka, Makoto, Nagisa and Rin—before they graduate from elementary school. They all participated in a swimming tournament and won, though they parted ways. Years later, Haruka and Makoto reunite with Nagisa when he enrolls in their high school. Not long after, Rin, who was thought to be in Australia, turns up and challenges Haruka to a race and wins. Afterward, Nagisa suggests creating a swimming club and using the school's run-down outdoor pool. Haruka, Makoto, Nagisa, and later on, Rei, create the Iwatobi High School Swimming Club and work together to make the club a success. Rin's victory over Haruka means nothing to him as he realizes that Haruka had stopped swimming competitively and wasn't in top shape. He claims that he cannot get over the fact until Haruka competes against him for real. The members of the Iwatobi High School Swim Club later enter a swimming competition against Rin.

Plot/Summary :-

Even though it has been a year since the Iwatobi High School Swim Club has been created, new members have yet to join the club. Now that Haruka Nanase and Makoto Tachibana are senior students, along with their younger friends Nagisa Hazuki and Rei Ryuugazaki, they have to find a way to attract new members. If not, the club will be forced to close the following year due to a lack of membership.

Meanwhile, with impending graduation, it is also time for the seniors to decide their plans for the future. Unlike their friend Rin Matsuoka, the new captain of Samezuka Academy Swim Club who is determined to fulfill his dream of being a professional swimmer, Haruka and Makoto are unsure about what career path they want to take.

Quotes :-

"The water is alive. Once you dive in, it will immediately bare its fangs and attack. But, there's nothing to fear. Don't resist the water. Thrust your fingers into the surface and carve an opening. Then you slide your body through that opening. Moving your arms, your head, your chest..."

Story :-

The swimming boys are back! Free! kept its promise from season one ("See you next summer...") and returned for another season of swimming, slice of life and manservice. After the first season of five guys swimming competitively and their daily (mis)adventures turned out to be a huge success, it was no surprise that it would get a continuation. And now that the second season finished, how does it compete with its prequel?

Following the story of season one, Free!: Eternal Summer starts off with a new high school term. Makoto and Haruka are now third years, while Rei and Nagisa are now second years at Iwatobi. And how else would they start off a new year if not with swimming? They return to the swim club and begin with the search for new members - failing in the process, participating in a friendly competition against the team of Samezuka, dealing with their individual struggles, and much more. All that while they practice and try to improve their swimming even more to participate in the regionals - in hope of success this time.
Speaking of Samezuka, in the meantime Eternal Summer gives us an insight on the swimming team of Samezuka as well - with Rin as the new team captain and a couple of new members the Samazuka swimmers are up for a fresh start and ready for more challenges. A huge focus here is the addition of Sousuke - an old childhood friend of Rin's, who transfers from another school for certain reasons.

But swimming is of course not the entire focus of the show. Just like season one, Eternal Summer is filled with lots of slice of life moments, because as we are all aware, Free! is not all about sports. It is not trying to be, anyways. Unlike other sports-themed series, the focus on seemingly "plotless" scenes is a huge one, and Eternal Summer is continuing to deliver great slice of life moments that evoke all sorts of emotions. If Iwatobi's hopeless yet funny search for new members, the heartwarming Nagisa-centered episode or the stunning trip to Australia - in the slice of life aspect, Free! is undoubtedly convincing.
Another central theme of the second season is future. As Haruka, Makoto and Rin are in their last year of high school, it is an unavoidable question of what they will do after graduating. Definitely an interesting topic, and a good set-up for drama. Now, the drama - and the resolution - in Free! is often cheesy and overdramatic - and in the case of this season it is the case too, but still an improvement from season one. Especially episode nine shows how good drama in Free! can be - in this episode it was very well executed.
Story-wise, if you enjoyed season one for its story (or the lack of it in most parts) then you will like it in season two just as much. Lots of friendship, drama, slice of life, swimming is just as present here and just as enjoyable.

Free! (although the full title of the anime is Free! – Iwatobi Swim Club) revolves around four friends – Haruka, Nagisa, Makoto and Rin – who swim together in their primary school swimming club. Just when a great friendship starts to form, they are notified that Rin will move to Australia to pursuit his dreams of becoming an Olympic swimmer. Years later, the three reunite in high school to form the high school swimming club. However, they meet Rin who has come back from Australia, and has become a totally different person. After Haruka beats Rin in a race, Rin declares war on the swimming team at the Nationals. The Iwatobi Swimming Club now must face head to head with Rin in both the race and on a sociological level.

There are some well known voice actors that make an appearance in this anime including Suzuki Tatsuhisa who voices Makoto (and is also known as the voices of Sugata Eishiro from Sora no Otoshimono and Yoshida Haru from Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun), Yonaga Tsubasa who voices Nagisa (and is also known as the voices of Niiya Teiichi from Dusk Maiden of Amnesia and Komano Tsutomu from Chihayafuru) and Miyano Mamoru who voices Rin.

Conclusion :-

All in all, I was quite surprised at how descent this anime turned out to be. If you guys watched my “Summer 2013 Anime Season: First Impressions” video, I explain this series as a “24 minute cock-fest”. But this anime actually turned out to be a lot more than that; credits to Kyoto Animation as always for the splendid visuals and animation (you never let us down KyoAni) and for myself for continuing to watch this anime until the very end because as a whole, this anime was very enjoyable. It wasn’t excellent; like a lot of sports anime, it had its flaws. But I think anybody can watch this anime and enjoy it. And ladies, I think you should all watch this anime especially.

Recommendation :-

Of course -,  Its an Sports anime.

My rcommendation is 8./10.

I strongly recommend it for Swimming lover.
