Introduction:-

A nonsense comical 'mystery'. "Harumi Kazuhito' is a high school boy who loves books and is a fan of novelist Natsuno Kirihime. One day, he finds Kirihime writing at a cafe, about to be shot by a robber. He protects her from the attack but is killed instead. Through the supernatural power of a book-worm, he is reincarnated as a dachshund dog. Kazuhito (as a dog) writhes in a painful bookless life, when a sadistic woman carrying a pair of scissors offers him help. She is Kirihime herself.

Plot/Summary :-

Dog & Scissors centers around Kazuhito Harumi, a high school boy who is obsessed with reading books. One day, while reading in a cafe, he is shot and killed when he attempts to protect a random stranger. As he is determined to read his favorite author's unreleased last work, he gets a second chance and is reincarnated as a dachshund dog. As a dog he is adopted by "Kirihime Natsuno", the very person he tried to save, as well as the only person who can understand him in his new form. Kazuhito then discovers that she is not only his favorite novelist, but also a sadist who enjoys terrorizing him with scissors.

Quotes :-

“A strange story between a sadist author and a dog who loves books??”

Story :-

Dog & Scissors starts somewhat promising on its own terms. Nowadays you don't happen to see a story like this unfold and there might be a good reason for this, because it's condemned to be an unsuccessful attempt at creating something unique.

There's acutally a story given to this series. The writer Akiyama Shinobu's trying to finish the last book of the collection of The Seven Deadly Sins. On the other hand the bookworm Kazuhito has a passion for every book and writer in the world, especially for Shinobu and he wants to read this last book badly. So badly, that the day he dies in a robbery where he protects a woman, he doesn't accept death and is resurrected as a dachshund dog. After coincidences occur he happens to live together with his favourite writer. The problem of the plot is that it's not going anywhere from that point on. Strange things happen and are resolved even stranger. The promise of an absurd and random comedy wasn't exaggerated, but it's just too random.

The first three episodes always introduce new things and aspects. Jokes, characters and a random diversion of the story. After this the anime goes on repeat and all these things don't change a lot. This might feel like an infinite loop of repetition that finishes after 12 episodes. So the only thing to expect in the next episode is how they repeated old jokes again.

Rarely the animation feels a little bit off, but overall the quality's good and fluent. At times there're even references to other animes and they're built in pretty well. The spectrum embraces cute illustrations with serious animation. Nothing more to say about the art here.

Even less to say about the sound. The best thing about this anime is Marina Inoue and her performance, even though it's often forced at times that doesn't justify she's bad. She's awesome and a pleasure to hear. The OP song might be sinister, but I like to hear it and it's one of my favourites this season. Altogether the sound in the show's nothing special, though.

Anime is known for giving us some of the most unique and interesting plots that you wouldn’t be able to see in any other entertainment medium. I’ve seen some pretty interesting and unique plots in anime in my life, but I must say, this anime is taking love stories and plots to the next level, in more ways than one!

Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou revolves Harumi Kazuhito, a high school book worm who gets killed by a robber in a restaurant he was reading at, saving a stranger in the process. When he awakes, he finds himself turned, or reincarnated, into a dog. He is later adopted by Natsuno Kirihime, who was the stranger he saved in the shooting, as is also the secret identity of his favourite author, Akiyama Shinobu. Not only is she his favourite author, but he also discovers she is a sadist who wields a pair of scissors. The anime revolves around the many strange and wonderful characters and daily life of the two.

Conclusion :-

Although the anime introduced many new characters, the anime failed to go in depth with all the characters back stories; main characters were treated as side characters and vice-versa. The anime had some comedy elements as well, but giving a dog a harem ending was a little bit of a stretch for me. However, the anime did end nice and clear and was entertaining to watch as a whole. If you want to watch something new and interesting, then this anime might be a good try for you.

Recommendation :-

Of course -,  Its an Comedy, Supernatural anime.

My rcommendation is  8.5/10.

I strongly recommend it for Comedy, Supernatural  lover.
