Luckily for him, a passerby is there to save him—but now, he owes his life to this stranger!
Plot/Summary :-

Set in Arakawa, Tokyo, the series tells the story of Kou Ichinomiya, a man who has accomplished everything by himself. Ever since he was little, his father has taught him one rule: to never be indebted to another person. One day by accident, he falls into the Arakawa River and almost drowns. A girl by the name of Nino rescues him and, in return, he owes her his life. Unable to accept the fact that he is indebted to her, he asks her about a way for him to repay her. In the end, she tells him to love her, beginning Kou's life of living under a bridge. However, as Kou starts to learn, Arakawa is a place full of weirdos and all of the people living under the bridge are what society would call "denpasan".
Quotes :-
“A hilarious romance comedy that will sure want you to get outside!”
“The power or “love” is strong. Sometimes, through the force of that emotion, people show strength you’d never expect. Yes. This is… Also a miracle of love”
“A wish. It isn’t a glass ball that shines with the colors of a rainbow, which will shatter if grasped firmly”.

Story :-
If you’ve seen a lot of anime then you would be well aware that not everything is straight to point… hell, sometimes none of it makes much sense. The story, the characters, the script; everything is just a little too far-fetched or strange. But there are some strange and far-fetched anime out there that makes us stay the entire time, making us laugh and feel great. And this anime may be the best example.
Lets start with the characters. Arakawa has a vast array of characters, adding new ones almost every episode to add to the viewers pleasure. Every character is, at first glance, rather one dimensional. As is standard with most comedies, every character will have some sort of "gag" around them that is generally hyped upon every time you meet that character. For example, the main character has an issue with owing people favors, and as such, there are many scenes in which he will need to rely on someone and will go to any great lengths to repay the favour, and really almost every character is like this in their own way. Now really, for a comedy this isn't a bad thing, the laughs may be a little obvious but its still always funny to see the guy freak out at having to pay back Nino for saving his life or whatever the favor of the moment is.
Arakawa Under The Bridge revolves around Ichinomiya Kou; a young man who has accomplished everything by himself. Because of this, under his family bloodline, he is not allowed to be indebted to another person. When Kou loses his pants to a pair of meddlesome kids, he is saved by a strange girl who lives under the bridge called Nino. As he is not allowed to be indebted to her, he tells Nino that he will do anything fro her, in which she asks Kou to be her boyfriend. Now, Kou must leave everything to go live under the bridge with Nino in order to pay back what she did for him. However, Kou does not know that the bridge is home to many strange and somewhat “dangerous” people…

The anime aired 13 episodes during the Spring 2010 Anime Season (April 2010 – June 2010). The anime is based off a manga series written and illustrated by Nakamura Hikaru. The anime also had a second season titled Arakawa Under The Bridge*2 which aired in late 2010. The anime is animated by Shaft Studios, known for its unique animation techniques, who has given us such iconic anime series such as Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Puella Magi Madoka Magica and the Monogatari series.
The anime contains many famous voice actors and actresses .All in all, Arakawa Under The Bridge is a very carefree, funny and unique comedy with some heartwarming romance elements that will make you want a shoulder to lean on. The great animation techniques by Shaft Studios makes this animation something special and different, and this anime wouldn’t be the same without it. If you haven’t watched this yet then I highly recommend it; it will make you laugh.
One final thing that really showed me a better side to Arakawa is the plot of the thing. Now you could say, "But how is watching the daily lives of some quirky characters living under a bridge that exciting. As far as anime goes, its not exactly revolutionary." And while this is true, the plot isn't going to wow anyone, does one thing right, and that's make one reflect on their own life. As you sink into this show, you begin to see that a lot of it is comparing normal life to the random lifestyle that the folks under the bridge follow. This is particularly emphasized by the fact that the protagonist is a Rich boy at the head of society. When comparing the two, one starts to realize that maybe this insane, random lifestyle of weird people in funny masks is really the less "insane" of the two. It shows us, that really, life should be lived how you want it to be, not whats necessarily best for you. We see that Kuo is at the head of the world, rich, handsome, with a silver tongue, he seems to have it all. And yet, which does he enjoy more, teaching under this god forsaken bridge, or following in his father's footsteps. Well its only 7 episodes in as I write this review so only time can tell, but I can be certain that this is the main message of the anime: Look at yourself and decide what you want to do... then do it! ur ass off, guaranteed.
Conclusion :-

That being said, there is something peculiarly special about the cast of Arakawa. As the series progresses, little "hints" thrown about a lot, about the past of the character in question. This is especially prominent in Nino, the heroine, but is noticeable in many of the side characters as well . Whenever I notice one of these hints, I like to imagine what was it that brought this person to live under a bridge. What was his / her past life truly like? Was it a long journey to finally find this home? These questions build up and will probably remain forever un-answered but that's just part of the charm. The bit of mystery surrounding each character really helps build a strong connection with them, and greatly increases the viewing experience.
Recommendation :-
Of course -, Its an -anime.
My rcommendation is 9/10.
I strongly recommend it for Every lover.
