Story :-
As I love to explore the many different anime series that have existed to this day, I tend to watch many series that many so-called “anime fans” tend to not know. This is again, one of the many. A shame, considering this is probably one of the cutest series you will ever watch in your life. And I am not exaggerating when I say this.
Acchi Kocchi revolves around a group of high school friends; mostly around Io Otonashi and Tsumiki Migiwa, two friends who are in a strange relationship that is hovering between friend and lovers. While Tsumiki hides her feelings for Io, he is completely oblivious. The story revolves around the everyday lives of Io, Tsumiki and their group of friends as they live out their daily lives full of romance and mischief.

“Without a doubt, the most popular character in the series is Tsumiki; displaying fine qualities of moe, cuteness and tsundere characteristics“
This anime was only just released 2 seasons ago at the time of writing (Spring 2012) and gained little attention by the online anime community, most likely because there were other series that seemed to outshine this series (such as Accel World, Jormungand and Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka? Of The Dead, just to name a few). The series has also been compared to other anime series; the most common one being the close similarities between the character designs of Tsumiki and Konata from Lucky Star (but I say it`s pure coincidence).

The series is animated by the Anime International Corporation Inc. (or AIC) who are veterans when it comes to anime (animating such classics as Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, Ah! My Goddess! and Sora No Otoshimono, just to name a few). The series features some notable voice actors including Rumi Okubo who voices Tsumiki (as well as Chinatsu from YuruYuri and Sweet Little Devil Oda Nobunaga from Sengoku Collection) and Nobuhiko Okamoto who voices Io (and also voiced Usui from Kaichou wa Maid-sama and Accelerator in Toaru Majutsu no Index).
All in all, Acchi Kocchi is a very cute slice-of-life, romantic comedy series that will leave you warm and fluffy on the inside while you laugh your butt off on the outside; combing the very best of moe, cuteness and comedy to create one happy series. I personally would like to see a season 2, so let`s hope and see.

Yeah,I know.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of those bizarre anime that I have no idea why but I just like it. It isn’t my usual kind of thing at all but it just really appealed and I ended up loving these characters and watching their zany antics.
