In an alternate historical version of the United Kingdom in the early 20th century, scientists have created a mixture of technology and sorcery known as Machinart, circuits made from spells that are put into objects to bring them to life and give them artificial intelligence. These Automatons were developed as a military weapon and spread throughout the world; the humans in charge of them became known as puppeteers.
Plot/Summary :-
The Walpurgis Royal Academy of Machinart was founded alongside the development of "Machinart," machine magic capable of giving life and intelligence to mechanical dolls subsequently called as "automaton." Its aim: train skilled puppeteers to control the automatons, as militaries across the globe have begun incorporating Machinart into their armies.
After miserably failing the academy's entrance exams, Raishin Akabane and his humanoid automaton Yaya must defeat one of the top one hundred students to earn the right to take part in the Evening Party, a fight for supremacy between puppeteers using their automatons. The last one standing is bestowed the title of "Wiseman" and granted access to the powerful forbidden arts.
Quotes :-
“Badass girls and boys be badass!!”

Story :-
Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai (aka Unbreakable Machine Dolls) is an animated series based on the light novel of the same name written by Reiji Kaito. The series takes place in the early 20th century in an industrial-like world. Rather than producing cannons and gunpowder though, there exists an emergence of a power known as Machinart – a fusion of magic and technology applications. The series follows Rashin and his automaton Yaya as they go on a journey of both endurance and vengeance.
Kinji Yoshimoto is the director where he previously had experience with fantasy theme series such as Quee;ns Blade and Dog Days. Here, he is in charge of a fantasy theme series that molds the themes of magic and science. Upon first impressions, it’s easy to tell this show would fall under the typical fantasy/battle shounen style with the tournaments to prove one’s worth; and you’re not wrong if you think so because the show does depicts itself that way. However, a primary motivation for Rashin to become Wiseman is more than simply be the best. He is also on a quest for vengeance because of his tragic childhood.
Growing up as an orphan, Rashin can be best described as a brash and hotheaded young man. He joins Walpurgis Machinart Academy to not only make a name for himself but to also find the culprit behind his family’s murders. It ventures into the mystery zone on a variety of occasions as Rashin also plays the role of an anti-hero. His sidekick is the all adorable and automaton Yaya. Unlike most automaton, Yaya looks like a human in a variety of ways. This is likely because of Rashin’s past where his childhood has a strikingly resemblance to her.
So when it comes to action/fantasy based anime series, we usually think of something like this… “unconfident/weak protagonist discovers that he holds some secret power of some sort and gradually turns badass while still maintaining character”… of course, not all action/fantasy series are like this, but you get the general idea. Except this time, with this series, you’ll probably see the most confident and badass protagonist you’ve seen in a while.
Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai (translated as Unbreakable Machine-Doll) revolves around Akabane Raishin and his Automaton Yaya. Raishin is a puppeteer; a form of magician who are known for controlling and using Automatons to fight and train. Pursuing the culprit who killed his sister, Raishin and Yaya enter Walpurgis Royal Academy of Machine Arts to become the Wiseman; the greatest puppeteer of them all. There, Raishin and Yaya face many friends and foes and ultimately, the one who Raishin believes to be the culprit he has been looking for.

Conclusion :-
The series was quite interesting and enjoyable because although the anime was action centered, it used quite a bit of fan-service elements to “soften the blow”; the main protagonist being a confident protagonist (unlike a lot of other harem/ecchi anime protagonists) also added to the enjoyment factor. Although this anime was good, there was something that was missing… I can’t really say what it was but I wasn’t 100% satisfied when the series ended. Maybe a season 2 can cover up what was lacking in the first season, but either way I think this anime is worth having a go at.
Recommendation :-
Of course -, Its an Fantasy, School anime.
My rcommendation is 8/10.
I strongly recommend it for Fantasy, School lover.
